An Overview of Our Ministries
-
The Archdiocese of Denver includes various ministries which positively influence the Catholic community in northern Colorado. These include 149 parishes and churches, Catholic schools, Catholic Charities, Centro San Juan Diego, and social ministry.
-
Volunteers with Catholic Charities donate over 70,000 hours in order to help serve over 113,000 people each year!
-
Our Catholic schools educate nearly 8,500 students a year and employ almost 1,000 staff to provide a quality, faith-filled education. Additionally, Seeds of Hope contributes over $2 million in scholarships to make Catholic education affordable for families who could otherwise not afford it.
-
Centro Juan San Diego provides education, family support, integration, and leadership formation to the Hispanic community. Our Hispanic brothers and sisters are finding success in ESL, GED, computer, citizenship, financial, and university classes. Centro Juan San Diego also provides almost 1,400 free legal consultations and over 500 free tax returns.
-
We also have an array of social ministries that include health services for pregnant women and family care, campus ministry, prison ministry, hospital chaplains, and more. Our shelters provide the homeless with safe shelter, warm meals, job counseling, and assistance finding permanent housing.
-
At the Archdiocese of Denver, we care greatly about serving our community in as many ways as possible. These are just a few areas in which we provide support and education in northern Colorado.
