2023 Updates
While the model hasn't required many updates from the previous year, a new paint color is available in Rhodium White. The engine in the Turbo trim has been upgraded to provide 256 hp thanks to its turbocharged engine.

Fuel Economy
There are two engine options here, which means there are two fuel economy ratings. The base-level 2.5-liter engine can achieve 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The turbocharged engine provides 22 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

Infotainment
The Mazda CX-5 features a 10.3-inch infotainment display that mainly uses a rotary controller and volume knob on the center console. There are other options, however, as you can also use voice commands and buttons on the steering wheel. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard as well. The CX-5 even includes Mazda Connected Services, which means you can use a smartphone app and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot to access remote vehicle functions.

Safety
The Mazda CX-5 comes with plenty of fantastic safety features. These include Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, and standard adaptive cruise control.
